The Liberal Christian vs. Israel.

Recently, I had the privilege to witness a fascinating argument between someone who claimed to be a Christian, and someone of Jewish descent over whether or not a Christian should support Israel, or if Jews are no longer in God's will. I have to admit, it was quite humorous to watch. On one side, you had someone preaching to a Jew and misquoting verses from the new testament, on the other, you had a Jew telling someone how to be a better Christian.

So who was right? Are Jews no longer part of God's ultimate plan? Did Christians take over the covenant that was given to Abraham and his descendants? If you support Israel, does that make you racist and full of hate?

What about the other side of the argument? In order to be a true Christian, are you required to support Israel? Is Judaism the basis of Christianity. Is Israel still in God's will?

As a Christian, I have to say, the Christian in this argument was definitely way off base. Her argument was that God took away the covenant from the Jews and in turn gave it to the Christians upon Jesus' crucifixion. Jews rejected Jesus and therefore rejected God. Christians, who are made up of mostly Gentiles, became God's chosen people and are now the inheritors of his kingdom.  Then when she ran out of arguments, she claimed that since my friend was Jewish and therefore not a Christian, that he simply was not capable of understanding what she was talking about.

This was very disconcerting to hear from someone claiming to be a follower of Christ. She was insistent that Jews were violent racists oppressing a nation of peaceful people and lying to the world to advance their Zionist agenda.

Ladies and gentleman, this is what we call a liberal Christian, or as some now like to be called, a "new testament Christian".  To me, there's nothing more disappointing than to pass by a church and see the words "New Testament Church" or "Progressive" on their sign.

Why, you ask, is that such a bad thing?  In theory, nothing.  The new testament of the bible teaches of God's love, and salvation through grace by faith in the birth and death of God's son, Jesus.  It's in the new testament that we learn we are no longer bound by the law alone.  There is a new way to receive God's grace.   It's simple.  Accept Christ as Saviour, and confess your sins to God.  From that moment, you are a new creature living in God's will.  It's also important that we as Christians find new ways to advance the Kingdom of God by sharing this good news of a better way.

So why the disappointment?  A new testament Christian only follows half the bible, and even then, they pick and choose which verses they want to follow.  There is a large contingency of Christians that are merely being taught this form a Christianity.  The full glory of God is only being fed in bits and pieces.  To those of you who claim to follow Christ, you have been given a greater responsibility than that.  We are instructed to study the word, all of it, and put it into action in our lives.  Jesus himself believed in the scriptures of old.  His entire life was spent teaching from those scriptures and fulfilling the multitude of prophecies found in them.  On a later post, we will look at many of these prophecies and learn why they are important to defending our faith in Christ.  The point here is that, without the old testament (the scriptures of the Jews), it's impossible to defend your belief in Jesus being the saviour.

So let's tie this together then.  What do we learn from the old testament concerning Israel?  We learn of God's covenant given to Abraham, and the promise that his descendants will inherit this covenant (Gen 12:7 and 13:15-18).  We hear it repeated two more times to Abraham, along with the promise that the land he saw before him would be given to him and his children.  Then we see the promise passed along to Isaac and again to Jacob.  We also are taught a very important lesson about the covenant.  God tells Abraham, "I will bless those who bless you, and curse those that curse you." Gen 12:3.  Genesis continues on to describe the dimensions of Israel and its expanse throughout the land.

What else does the old testament say about Jews and the land of Israel?  In Jeremiah 29:11, God says ..."For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  Joel 3:20 says "But Judah shall abide forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation."  We find the Davidic covenant in 2 Samuel 7:11-16, the protection of Israel in the end times (Isaiah 11:11-13), God's promise to never break a covenant in Psalm 89:30-37, etc, etc, etc.

Ok.  So that seems pretty convincing right?  After all, these are God's promises.  Apparently, new testament Christianity teaches that all that doesn't matter.  The Jews rejected Jesus and therefore God broke his promise with Israel and made Christians the sole heirs of God's kingdom.   New testament Christianity has started taking apart scriptures and piecing them back together to mean what they want it to mean, much like liberalism has done to history and the American Constitution.

Sure enough, liberalism took over these churches and destroyed the very meaning of the scriptures.  They have even begun calling themselves liberal christians.  What a wave they have started.  It toppled many denominations like a giant stack of dominos.  Now, the very bases upon which Christianity was built are being thrown out in order to advance a very liberal, and very dangerous doctrinal agenda.

What agenda do you ask?  Let's take some notes from the United Methodist Church.  The UMC has declared that Israel's existence is illegal, let alone the "occupation" of Palestinian land.  It also says that those who support a "Zionist agenda" and support Israel are guilty of "Islamaphobia."  That's right, islamaphobia.  It's written on their official website in an explanation of their doctrinal stances and repeated in a statement by Jim Winkler, the General Secretary of the General Board of Church & Society of the UMC titled, "Word from Winkler - Unwavering on Common Sense Position."

They continue their rejection of common Christian principles by the rejection of the rapture, while accepting evolution and same-sex unions.  The UMC has also joined a globalization movement called The World Council of Churches.

So what is the WCC?  It is the attempt to globalize christianity by unifying all Christian churches under one umbrella.  Once again, that doesn't sound so bad, right?  Didn't both Peter and Paul, (no, not members of the sixties music group Peter, Paul, and Mary) teach us that division in the church was unacceptable, and that we are all parts of the body with Christ being the head of the church?

Yet again, another example of liberal Christians chopping up the word to advance an agenda.  What does the WCC actually stand for?

The WCC, although not establishers of doctrines, lure churches into the fold using unification as a mask for globalization.  The WCC supports socialist as well as communist governments, while villifying any country who practices capitalism and democracy.  They support both directly and indirectly organizations such as the UN, The New international Economic Order (of which George Soros is a major player), The New International Information Order, The World Health Organization, The World Court, and UNESCO - which recently passed a resolution scolding Israel for building on its own land without allowing its Israel delegates the opportunity to vocalize their defense.

Literal interpretation of biblical principles is never mentioned, while praising the teachings of those who claim the bible to be mostly symbolic in nature.  One of the most vocal supporters of the WCC is Bishop John Shelby Spong of the liberal Episcopal Church in Newark.  Below is a list of Christian doctrines the Spong says must be eliminated from Christian culture as reported in a study done by Kenneth Boa for Bible.org:
God as the creator distinct from the creation
Adam as a special creation and historical figure
The Devil as an actual entity
The historical fall of humanity from innocence into sin
Israel as ever having been God’s chosen people
The doctrine of the Trinity
Christ as preexisting in heaven before his human life
Christ as the incarnation of God, as the God-man
The virgin birth of Christ
Christ performed miracles
The bodily resurrection of Christ
The ascension of Christ
The Atonement — Christ’s death as delivering human beings from sin
Salvation through faith in Christ alone
Eternal punishment for the unbelieving or the wicked.

Isn't that the primary essentials when declaring your Christian faith?  Without these doctrines, what's left?  I'll tell you what's left.  Secular Humanism hidden beneath the cloak of religion.  What else we have is an open door for the rejection of morality, leaving our world in a sad moral decay.  With this decay comes a world crying for a purpose which can't be found.

Enter a global government with a leader who wants to unite the world in a single identity, single economy, and a single religion.  We as Christians know this leader as the Anti-Christ, but is also spoken of in Jewish scriptures as well.  Think it can't happen?

The WCC is now reaching out to other world religions, offering them a place at the table, with two major exceptions... Jews and Evangelical/Judeo Christians.  These religions include, Buddhism, Hinduism, Wicca and witchcraft, Taoism, and so on.  They are even promoting making the acception of Islam into their circles by instructing their members to read passages from the Koran during Sunday services.  And sure enough, its happening.  Once again political correctness has taken over common sense and replaced a faith in christ with a humanist agenda.  Ladies and gentleman... This is the one world religion we are taught about in the book of Revelation... Word for word.  (Again, a topic for a future post).

Of course, not all members of the WCC agree to the same doctrines.  Some denominations are merely misguided Christians who don't know any better, basing their faith on only a few principles taught in the bible, hence the rejection of Israel while still calling out to a Saviour for forgiveness.  Then you have out right humanist theology attempting to allegorize the bible.   But there are two common themes in all of them, the rejection of Israel, and a fondness, and sometimes an out right desire, for socialistic and often communistic principles.  US members of the WCC include:

Take note of some of the prominent members like the UMC, Presbyterians, Episcopalians, and the National Baptist Convention.  It's also important to note some Churches that are not members, like nearly the entire Pentecostal movement including the Church of God (all divisions) and the Assemblies of God, Southern Baptists, and Independent Baptists.  But don't think these churches are not on the WCC radar.  When you visit the main website,  these churches are named right on the front page, attempting to give the impression that they are members as well.  You have to read carefully to realize that these churches are not members.  It's the WCC's way of trying to strong arm these churches into submission.

So what action should you take?  As a bible believing judeo or true evangelical Christian, what is your responsibility?  First and foremost, pray and pray hard.  Flood the gates of heaven with fervent prayers.  Next, spread the word.  Are you, or is a member of your family or friends, a part of a liberal church and not even know it?  Help to create a mass exodus from spiritually dead churches.  Help those who are part of these sects to find a new bible believing home. And most importantly, tell them the truth.  Read them scriptures and show them the evidence, both from the bible and from real news sources.  Use the support of Israel as an example.  Earlier, we looked at old testament evidence.  But what does the new testament actually say about Israel?

I'll help you.  Let's use the book of Romans, chapter 11 as an example.  Here are some verses that prove God still loves Israel and the Jews throughout the earth:
I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. (Romans 11:1 NKJV)
God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew.... (Romans 11:2 NKJV)
Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness! (Romans 11:12 NKJV)
And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. (Romans 11:17 & 18 NKJV)
And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:  
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,  
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; (Romans 11:26 NKJV)
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. (Romans 11:29 NKJV)

So folks, remember... Stand on the truth.  Don't pick and choose, share the full word of God.  The verses I quoted are a mere sample of God's undying love and devotion to his people, and guess what the best part is?  If you have called upon the name of the lord, then you too have been grafted into these promises.  You too will share in the fullness of God's glory.

Stand on the word.  Jesus was called "the Way, the Truth and the Life", and that "Thy Word is truth" according to the gospel ofJohn first chapter.  We also learn in that same chapter that "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.  That word became flesh and dwelt among us."  So the point is?...We are to study the word thoroughly.  We are to take it to heart, and make it the basis on how we live our lives.  This includes the teachings of the new testament and the old testament.

Stand up for your faith.  Stand up for your freedoms.  Most importantly, stand up for the kingdom of God.  Pray hard and share the truth.  Get up off the couch and stop waiting for someone else to fight your fight!  Together we can bring down these walls of unrighteousness and set the church back on the path of salvation.

Hello and welcome to the first jpridg blog. This first blog is merely an attempt to ensure my settings are correct and that the posts are ready to be read.

I want to take a moment and introduce myself and explain the purpose of this blog. I am not a political commentator, politician, nor affiliated with any political activist or lobby group. I am merely a Christian who is fed up with the erosion of freedom and truth in these great United States of America. Yes we are the greatest nation in the world and are blessed by God Almighty. In fact, it was on his foundation that we were created. The problem with this country is that we have perverted the idea of what freedom means and therefore started the demise of true freedom in the name of political correctness and secular humanism. I believe that there are three main religions in the US whose members don't even realize they are a part of a religion, but whose purpose is to erode the very foundations that make the US the leader of the free world. In order, those religions are:
1. Secular Humanism,
2. Environmentalism, and
3. Socialistic Liberalism
All three of these religions have one purpose in mind...to take away our freedoms in the name of freedom. In essence this means the perversion of laws created to ensure our freedom, by subverting power of a majority rule society through the ideology of legislating from the bench. Basically, groups with patriotic and family friendly sounding names (ie...American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood, and many, many more) have realized that they will never succeed in getting their socialistic, and even communistic, ideas pushed through by popular vote. So instead, they have created an ingenious plan of indoctrinating and training lawyers and judges with their ideals, and then quietly planting them into the highest courts possible. As soon as their judge is in place, then come the lawsuits designed to take an existing freedom and have it declared unconstitutional.
This is not something that they just begun doing, this has been in the works for nearly a
century. It has only proven fruitful in the last couple of decades. The problem is, the
movement is gaining steam because the average American does not research the history behind  these organization, only looking at them for face value. They think that these organizations are creating freedoms and protecting them from an overreaching government. Sounds like a good deal, right? Wrong!
My blogs will be built around them premise of bringing the truth of these organizations to
light, as well as other intrusions upon our freedoms. I will be speaking out against these
three main religions as well as injecting Christian principles into the topics, including the necessity to continue supporting our greatest ally, Israel. Many topics will focus on how her
existence is affecting the rest of the world including the US. I will also be introducing many news bits that you will not hear from the mainstream media and the reasons why the  mainstream media doesn't want you to hear them.
Am I alone in this cause? Of course not. So why another blog when others are speaking for
the same objectives?
Simple. If only one or two stand up to tyranny, it will be a short fight. I'm not only  trying to speak the truth, but trying to encourage others to stand up for the truth. I want to help build an army of people who stand for Truth, Freedom, and Righteousness! I want  people to speak out and be heard when we are being oppressed.
